Got my first tat with this dude called Dragonfly.  He is very focused and a good artist.  He tapped into my brain and created an awesome tattoo.  Just like I always imagined.  Oh yeah – He gives good advice.

Dave is the man.  I came to him for my first 2 tattoos and he did a great job.  I brought him ideas and let him expand off of it and both times he did great work at a great price for me.  His shading is excellent and he is very friendly and laid back and I will definitely be back for more ink.

I waited a very long time to get a tattoo; I said I would never get one, but as I saw wonderful art adorning the body of friends and acquaintances, and my philosophy of life has matured, I decided to get 2 tattoos that could express my deepest beliefs, and could speak for me, even if I couldn’t talk.  The first was a yin/yang symbol, and the second is a mandala like Shiva that David designed.  It is awesome in its detail and shading.  Everybody that has seen it really likes it.  I was way impressed at how gentle David is with the “pen”, and with all of life.  There was no pain at all!  When I have found something else to say that is reflective of my soul I will ask David to apply his skills again.

When I first walked into Dave’s store, I was instantly drawn into the peaceful tranquility of the shop.  I think it truly exemplifies David and who he is.  He always seems to be at peace with himself and has a unique approach to life, which he is happy to share with those around him.  He surrounds himself with mellow sounds, pictures and serenity, which is reflected in his eyes and movement.  He makes everything in his shop a special experience.  Having a tattoo from Dave is like having a piece of priceless artwork become a personal part of you.  David seems to understand what you want and makes it come alive for you!  I love you Dave!

So I’ve been thinking of getting a tattoo for the longest time now.  It started back when Dragonfly first opened up and my mother went and got 4 tats done in one day, by the one and only…”David Dragonfly”.  I was 14 at the time, and told him that I would be stopping by in 2 years to get my first one. 

So in that amount of time I thought long and hard about it.  Finally I decided to get one done with my fest friend as a great experience and know that Dave was the right person to do it.  All I could think about was how it would turn out because all I did was pick out the colors and leave it up to Dave to make it good.  He did a phenomenal job.  I recommend you go to this hut because he does an amazing job and creates an amazing energy for the people who walk into his shop.  I plan to get more done by him.

The idea for the tattoo I brought Dave was a colorful outerspace futuristic/retro fusion jazz album cover called Man/Child.  The theme of an outerspace planet with a Buddha and color made me give Dave the tattoo.  Dave is a good friend and good with color so I liked the way everything worked out.  Peoples reactions to the work were exceptional.  If I didn’t like the idea I wouldn’t have made that choice, although I wasn’t expecting awesome reaction to the work and concept.  So thanks to you Dave!

My name is Fallon, and I currently have 6 tattoos!  I came to Dragonfly to shop, not knowing it was also a tattoo shop.  I fell in love with the shop instantly!  I soon came back for my tree of life tattoo, the peaceful music and energy made the experience so relaxing!  David is a wonderful artist, it seems as if the art just flows through his veins.  Because my experience was so wonderful and my tattoo beautiful, I never wanted to leave, so I didn’t!  Now I work at Dragonfly as the Body Piercer and David does all of my beautiful tattoos.

My girlfriend, who is a nuclear engineer, and I, a teacher, decided to get tattoos.  We happened upon Dragonfly and were so pleased with Dave’s work that we didn’t stop with one tattoo.  I write this small testimonial after receiving my fourth tattoo.  My girlfriend is in the process of getting her 5th tattoo.  Before we visited Dragonfly, when I thought of tattoo artists, the emphasis was always on the tattoo and not the artist.  I realize now, as does my girlfriend, that Dave is a true artist.  He works with the human anatomy as a painter works on canvas or a sculptor works with stone or metal.  He is a very talented, creative and visionary individual, and my girlfriend and I could not be more pleased with the beautiful imprints he left on us.

My name is Jessie.  At the time I got my tattoo from Dave, I had 3 tattoos already.  Mr. Dragonfly did my 4th for me.  Basically, it represents me and my best friend (and twin) Amber.  There are 2 birds together in an egg, and a long story behind it.  To get to the point, Dave rocked it.  It is absolutely beautiful and I love it with all my heart!  Thanks Dave, you rock!

My name is Lindsay and I have 6 tattoos, 4 done by Dave.  I will not go anywhere else for my art.  I first met Dave a few years ago when Dragonfly was outside of Quakertown.  I spent a whole summer in that store.  It draws you in, the energy is out of this world.  I graduated from college and once I was back home, I came searching for Dave and found him here, in this beautiful shop.  Since then I have received 2 of my most treasured tattoos from Dave.  The one is on my ribs and it’s a sparrow with the Dead’s lyrics “may the four winds blow you safely home”, and that was in honor of my grandfather who passed on.  Dave’s gentle hands and the soothing energy of the atmosphere made me at peace for the tattoo which hurt like hell!  The experience you have with Dave and the store is unlike any other, which is why I will only come to Dave. I love this place so much, I drive an hour each way to come and work here on Sundays.
